Collaboration: 90% of staff members at Yu Ying agree with the statement: “I collaborate at least weekly with teachers and leaders at my school to improve my instructional plans based on student responses to tasks”, compared to the D.C. average of 66%.
Flexibility: We work individually with staff members to ensure they have the flexibility they need. All teachers receive 10 days of personal days along with regular free Fridays. Breastfeeding mothers, for example, are provided with coverage throughout the day to enable them to pump when needed.

Collect information on employee history at the beginning of employment to ensure the salaries of every staff member are equal to their level of expertise and education.
Holistic Benefits Package
Comprehensive Health Benefits: Yu Ying provides all staff members with a comprehensive set of health benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance.
Paid Time Off: Yu Ying provides all full-time employees with competitive amounts of paid-time off.
Parental Leave: Yu Ying provides 2 weeks of paid parental bonding leave, which applies to staff members after the birth or adoption of a child. A paid maternity disability leave of a total of six to thirteen weeks is also available to all childbearing employees after the employee gives birth.
Retirement: Yu Ying provides employees who are employed for a year or more with a 401K match of 3%, and all employees are eligible to start contributing to their 401K accounts from the first day of employment
Before/After Care: Staff members with children enrolled in Yu Ying have the ability to access reduced rates for both before and after care;
Transportation: Staff members have the option of either a dedicated parking space or participating in SmartBenefits, in which a stipend is added onto staff member’s SmarTrip cards. Parking is based on tenure.
Wellness: Staff members have the option to participate in a number of both physical and financial wellness activities including: jawbone challenges, physical wellness classes, financial wellness seminars such as how to budget and owning a home and most recently, weekly meditation classes through Journey Meditation.
Disability Insurance: Employer paid short term, long term disability, and life insurance.
